History. Atmosphere. Quality.
London boasts many exceptional venues for events and celebrations, but only 8½ London offers it all.
Originally part of Copped Hall, this historic space was first leased on Dowgate Hill in 1295, serving as a key commercial and civic hub. Destroyed in the Great Fire of 1666, it was rebuilt in 1672 with Wren-era architectural influences. Today, as a Grade I listed building, it stands as a testament to London’s rich history.
For a creative photographer, variety is everything—and 8½ London delivers. From a naturally lit terrace to an atmospheric cellar and a stunning livery hall, the venue offers an unmatched blend of spaces for clients who require high end coverage of their occasion. A truly unique setting in central London.
Mark’s approach…
“… in recent years the demand for reportage event and wedding photography has significantly increased, and this blends perfectly with my relaxed approach. I never treat these occasions as ‘photo shoots’; they exist for emotional and joyous reasons, so a photographer must work around the plans and never dictate them.
I’m usually commissioned to produce a narrative which reveals the build-up and behind-the-scenes atmosphere, culminating in the energy and joy of a function or celebration. Providing a ‘full picture’ is so important in order for one to revisit the photography and be drawn back into the day...”
