From the archive... #25

May 15, 2015 Mark Bothwell

A moment in time: Oli and Pierre obviously have a gift - they managed to make the weekday traffic vanish on Albert Bridge. As any local will tell you, that's one neat trick.

On the blog a little while ago I featured the guys getting married in Lisbon. But the trip to Portugal was the second shoot I did with them. A few days before they enjoyed a quiet ceremony in Wandsworth, with just a few close family and friends in attendance. While the rest of the gang headed for the ultra-chic Cheyne Walk Brasserie for lunch, myself and the chaps stopped the cab for a few shots around their favourite spots.

Out of the taxi we hopped, to be met with an empty road. Quite amazing. I have never, ever seen a bridge in London appear to clear of traffic, seemingly on-demand. Literally a minute was all we needed to stride north of the river and grab some lovely material of two people loving their day, in a place they adore. Exactly what a good wedding day is all about...
